Best electric tooth brush 2026

Electric toothbrushes help remove plaque and eaters, thoroughly clean teeth, keep your breath refreshing, and prevent tooth decay and periodontal disease. According to Dr. Jennifer Silver, a dentist in Calgary, Alberta, an electric toothbrush can improve the effect of brushing by helping to polish uniformly, deliver to hard-to-polish places, and maintain constant movement.

How we Tested

We specialize in dental hygiene product reviews and have been consistently testing our products since Electric Teeth was launched more than 10 years ago.

When a new toothbrush is launched, we purchase it, test it, and compare it with products already on the market. After that, we have updated reviews and recommendations based on the results. We publish detailed articles and video reviews to share findings and opinions.

We have compiled the most important information below, but we are delving deeper into the detailed actual machine review. In determining the recommended product, we test and evaluate the functions recommended by dentists as the most important: pressure sensors, timers and pacemakers. We also carry out coloring tests to measure the plaque removal effect of toothbrushes.

We also take into account finer points such as how easy it is to maintain the cleanliness of the brush, how difficult it is to wear and remove the head, and whether it will inadvertently turn off the power during use. Learn more about the testing process here. We are not only testing our products, but also actively incorporating community feedback. In addition to publishing comments, we also operate a popular YouTube channel.

Oral-B iO3

The electric toothbrush “iO 3” is equipped with Oral B state-of-the-art technology, and combines a round brush head incorporating dentist’s knowledge with fine vibrating hair to achieve professional cleanliness even at home. Smart pressure sensors prevent too much polishing and lack of polishing, and protect gums more firmly. The gum guard function informs you of the time you are polishing with excessive pressure. To get the best results, replace the oral B iO brush head every 3 months.

Features

Cleaning Mode and Performance

  • Three modes: Daily Clean, Sensitive, and Whitening.
  • Magnet technology: A frictionless magnetic drive directly transmits energy to the tip of the brush for quiet and smooth cleaning.

Round brush head: Designed to incorporate dentist’s knowledge, it wraps teeth more firmly than a typical rectangular manual head.

 Smart Feedback and Indicator

  • Smart Pressure Sensor: If the 360 degree light ring is too strong, it will light up red, white if it is too weak, and green if it is moderate force.
  •  Quad Pacer & Timer: Pulse every 30 seconds to switch between the four segments of the teeth and alert you at the end of the 2-minute brushing.
  • Notice of timing of replacement: Indicator light will inform you when the brush head will be replaced.

Pros:

  •  The same magnetic drive technology as the high-priced model provides excellent plaque removal.
  •  Compared to the old non-iO series “Oral B” toothbrush, the operating sound is much quieter.
  •  A 360-degree smart pressure sensor will turn on red when strong pressure is applied, and it will turn green at appropriate force reduction.
  •  The sophisticated, luxurious, matte handle design makes dirt visible and easy to care for.
  • Three simple modes are integrated: “Daily Clean,” “Sensitive” and “Whitening.” Built-in brushing guide and 2 minute timer for each quadrant.

Cons:

  •  An iO-only replacement head is required, and the price is considerably higher than the standard head.
  •  There is no Bluetooth connection or smartphone app connection.
  • The package does not include a travel case. Overnight charging time using the standard charging stand is long.
  •  There is no OLED screen or cleaning mode display, it is an interface only for basic LED indicators.

Verdict

I think that Oral B overwhelms other companies in terms of brushing performance and function. The iO series of toothbrushes are the highest, and iO3 has all the features you need to keep your teeth in good condition.

However, there are better options for battery duration, charging time, and charging method (I wish I had a USB charging option). If there is no resistance to leaving iO3 in the charging stand, there is no reason not to buy it, but for those who travel frequently and those who want fast charging It is not suitable.

Series 7 and later iO toothbrushes are equipped with a fast charging function. Suri 2.0

SURI toothbrushes are modern electric toothbrushes designed for sustainability, minimal design and everyday functionality. We use sonic vibration technology to clean and polish teeth while reducing the amount of plastic commonly used in oral care products.

SURI (Sustainable Rituals) was founded by Gyve Safavi and Mark Rushmore in 2021 to eliminate the huge amount of waste produced by the electric toothbrush industry. Having gained many years of experience in the consumer goods industry, they embarked on the development of a toothbrush that demonstrates high cleaning performance without relying on excess plastic.

The SURI team worked on development for many years and faced many opposition in the early stages. Nevertheless, in 2022, we launched one of the pioneering electric toothbrushes in the industry with a durable aluminum book binding body and a plant-based, recyclable brush head. At the time of launch, we also introduced a mailing collection and recycling program for used brush heads to reveal our efforts to reduce waste.

SURI is based in the UK. The company has acquired B Corp certification and has issued an annual sustainability report summarizing its ongoing efforts to reduce environmental impact, materials used and waste. Their mission is to fundamentally transform oral care for people and the planet through beautiful daily necessities designed for life.

Features

  • Oral care company Suri is the first to update the company’s electric toothbrush, which is known for its sustainability initiatives, including adopting recycled bioplastic brush heads through a recovery program.
  • Suri 2.0 includes a quieter and more powerful sonic motor with additional pressure sensors and wireless induction charging. Wireless induction charging is rare in products with aluminum metal bodies such as Suri.
  • In addition, accessories have been renewed, including a more rounded travel case that can use UV-C disinfection function without plugging in, and an induction charging stand that is about the size of a pebble designed to “reflect even if placed on the counter.”
  • Suri 2.0 wireless induction charging solves the problem of the base charging pin, which was one of the weaknesses of the first generation toothbrush. Some customers reported that there was a problem with this part as the product got older.
  • This British company wanted to replace these with more durable and future-proof solutions, but because the product is made of aluminum, it was difficult to add induction charging capabilities.
  • “Induction charging with a metal body is known to be very difficult. Most oral care brands employ plastic because metals disrupt magnetic fields and cause less efficiency and heat generation, “says Cebu Wezar, Suri’s innovation director.

Pros:

Long-lasting battery: Can be used for more than 40 days with one charge.

Eco-friendly design: Corn starch brush heads that are plant-based and recyclable, and repairable designs.

Quiet operation: The noise level is very low (about 54dB) compared to conventional toothbrushes.

Improved travel case: It comes with a travel case with UV-C sterilization function that can charge the body.

Cons:

  • Power Level: Some users say that the power of sound wave vibration is somewhat insufficient compared to high output competitors.
  • Fewer modes: There are only two basic modes: Clean and Polish. Maintenance: To prevent the accumulation of dirt, contact points must be kept dry at all times.
  •  Cost and Value Notes: For a detailed analysis from your perspective, see SURI 2.0 Review – Electric Toothbrush. • Convenient additional features: Built-in pressure sensor and travel lock mode. You can check the details of the function on the product page of SURI 2.0 electric toothbrush.

Verdict

SURI 2.0 is a very good product in my bathroom. Slim, stylish and durable, this toothbrush delivers the same cleanability as major brand products. There are no extra gimmicks, while there are necessary features.

A slightly stronger force than a similar toothbrush is required before the pressure sensor is activated, or a timer is reset when the use is paused, but these are only minor complaints, rather than a definitive disadvantage.

For those who are more environmentally friendly and/or frequent than many other products, we strongly recommend that you consider SURI 2.0. In the article “Recommended electric toothbrushes” on this site, this product has won the “Editor’s Choice” award.
